Jill and I were blessed with a weekend away in North Berwick at the beginning of the year. Its one of our favourite places. Favour smiled upon us and we were graced with a beautiful morning in the middle of a very wet winter....
The following photos were taken on a 'photo-jog' as the sun was rising (Jill was still in bed!)

Neighbourhood
I had a day off after a week of travelling in Central America and decided to spend the afternoon photographing my own neighbourhood. The weather was glorious and it was too good to stay inside!
One of the many wooden fences round our estate. This one runs down the lane at the end of our cul-de-sac.
These guys stayed still long enough for me to change lens and take a photo!
I love the rich colours of red, green and blue in this picture.
A beautiful silver birch.
Ben Lomond, Glasgow and Drumsagard all in one!
The grassy mound in the middle of our estate, sometime referred to as 'dog poo hill'!
Our MUGA - the boys love to cycle their bikes round this like they are in a race.
Black and Blue - I like the simple colour contrasts of the black crow and the shaded side of the branches against the blue sky behind.
Despite all the houses there are still some areas set apart for nature.
These bull rushes look almost comical, as if they are saying something muppet-esque!
I love the detail in this close up.
Part of the main through-fare.
I'm always fascinated by planes flying so high overhead. Wondering where they are off to... often that's me!
Across the street, our neighbours :-)
